Merc SL350 AMG

Hi

I am considering a change of car and there are/were 2 cars on my list, the Mustang 2.3 and the Merc SL350 AMG.

Now, I am not desperate for a change but considering my options. Had a long test drive with the Mustang 5L V8 and I wasn't impressed at all, I mean it is a nice car but I much prefer driving my Z4 35i (each to his own).

Second on my list is the Merc SL350 AMG but cannot find any nearby to test drive it and Mercedes Benz garages are keeping and eye for me .

Has anyone of you guys had any experience with the Merc SL350 AMG ? and what do you think ? Fuel Economy ? Reliability ? ...

I just didn't feel it ... !! It felt like it was too heavy for what it is ! May be I got used to the zed ...

The V8 sound was obviously amazing !
 
A mates got an SL 350 ... smooth and sounds ok + ok acceleration but feels bigger than a Z4 and heavier. I think it is only 5.5-6 to 62 but feels slower as so smooth. OK cruiser but not in any way sporty.
