Sadly, I’ve come to terms with the fact I’m never going to finish. This beast really needs to be finished and unleashed!

So I bought her with the intention of finishing her up from the previous owner. However over 2 years down the line and minimal progress means I just can’t leave the car where it is anymore in this state. Garaged - always! Since 2012!!!

Spec:
Rotary Revs Bridgeport engine (fresh rebuild with goopy seals) – Call them to confirm the quality of this build – They will know the car.
HKS T51R Turbo
Full Function fuel rail
Huge HKS external wastegate (screamer pipe setup)
Ground out fuel tank fitted with an ATL swirl tank with 044 Bosch Fuel Pump
Brand new v mount Rad/Intercooler setup
Brand new triple plate Exedy hyper carbon r clutch.
Solid engine mounts
Apexi Power FC and stock ECU
Mazdaspeed carbon clocks
Short shifter
Momo steering wheel
Genine BBS alloys
“13B RX” private plate
Tien Flex Coilovers (will need a refresh)

So what’s left:
Lots of bits to go with the car but there are a few things missing that I’ve been working through. I’ve not got a definitive list, just what I’ve been working through when I’ve had time. Could be more. I recommend you come and check.

Coolant lines, heater and intercooling lines/pipework need finishing up. From what I can tell, the Greddy elbow off the intake is missing and was not give to me by the previous owner (if you spot that in the build pics – he couldn’t find it).

Heater lines needed when converting from stock to single turbo. Due to this, anything you know you need when you convert a 13B from stock single turbo!
Wiring loom is present and a battery relocation kit to the boot was in progress - will need finishing up.

Missing power steering accessories.

The fuel system is completely upgraded bar the wiring for the fuel pump (still on stock wiring and should be upgraded before commissioning).

I have a file somewhere on the injectors and I can’t find it. I am looking for it frantically otherwise I need to take a trip to the car to confirm. From my research I believe the car is good for around 500-600bhp with the limitation from there being the single fuel pump and not the injectors. However, I will have to confirm this from the exact spec of the injectors.

Chassis is lovely. All the issues you will see are purely age related in terms of sitting there. Bushes, brakes, suspension will need a refresh before coming back on the road. However, nothing is bent/broken/crashed.

Look at the underbody pics. She is clean!!!!!! Besides some surface rust which will clean off easily before being undersealed, she is ready for the new owner to see exactly what’s underneath. No horrors hidden under layers of underseal.

Bodywork. Well she clean up well and from afar and for the age is in lovely condition but has some deep scratches close up. Some small areas of surface corrosion starting to appear around the aerial etc, but we are not talking structural corrosion of any kind.

Perfect for that perfect paintwork to be done with minimal rust work when this beast is ready to drive. Front splitter I battered. I’ve made this sound so much worse that it is. Yes the scratches are deep but I’m not talking about sills, rear pockets, arches or any significant amount of welding needed! The bodywork from my point of view is fantastic and just what you need when considering a project like this. Hardly any rust and what is there is minimal and not in a concerning area.

So not much more to say. My vision was to get this up and running quickly. But I ended up having to put the car 100 miles away from me and the chance of working on it has become a pipe dream.

100% if I had space to finish this car near me, I would do it but I don’t have the time or the space to do get this job done.

So have a look at these folders for pics:

Any questions give me a shout.

I'm looking for £18,000. Car is located in Newport, Wales.

No part ex – If I had the space for a car, I would not be selling.

Any RX7 owners on here? How is this priced?

Thanks
