For those who have followed my tale of woe...... Today I have my money back. What I paid for the car. All of it. The full bifta, spondoolies.....except - The recovery fee to BMW. "Yeah, just get RAC or someone to pick it up we'll pay for it" . I say "but I think I have Sytner assist, isn't that breakdown cover \ recovery?" Dealer Herbert (manager) "nah, you won't have that.". Well, I did I and I told them after pick up several times and that they owe me £180. These people are so hard work. They keep apologising though. In every email. We are so, so sorry......so sorry Mr Stevo....Oh god, are we sorry.....

£180 for recovery - how far did it go? :o

I hope you get the apologists to pay it as if the car wasn't fit for purpose surely recovery should be down to them as well.

Hopefully we'll still see you on here - you don't have to own a Z4!

Good luck with your search.

Sad as it is in some ways, I think your revised avatar is brilliant.

So we can’t tempt you into an E86 MC?

There’s a few low miler well looked after examples, or are u after creature comforts?

A sad tale Stevo. Hope you find a car you can love soon. If it's a Zed all the better.. Stick around either way. :)

I hope you get that 180 back soon. You can put it towards another E89 and be back in the saddle

I think our advice ought to be find a dealer who’ll take the smallest deposit on a G29 - I noticed Aylesford in Kent had a few of them stacked up... right now is a bad time of year for them & see how much you can nail them to the floor.

I picked up a pre registered car (non BMW) with 19 miles on the clock 2 weeks ago - £15k under list - am sure u could squeeze for a small deposit & low interest rate if not trading in.

Sites like Autoebid & Carwow are great for countrywide searches & can also do the finance for u... lock in a 4-5 year service plan - before cars start to get even more expensive

Ok, my mind is made up. It is a 35is with at least the same age and spec comparable to the dead one for me. So I will l keep my eye out but I'm not expecting too much.

I’d sell my mineral grey 14 plate 35is on 24k Miles if it’s of any interest.

Black extended Kansas leather, extended as in door cappings, dashboard in leather, not just the rubbish car dealers say is extended when it’s just the bit below the passenger fascia.
Sat Nav I drive
Cruise
14 speaker gramophone
Heated steering wheel
Adaptive headlights
Heated seats
Lumbar adjustments
Adaptive lights
Ski hatch
Perfect 326 wheels
Full service history from the dealers.

Pretty much perfect condition.

PM me if it’s of interest otherwise I wish you well in your search.
