Matte dashboard covers?

Over the sunny weekend I took the new beast out for a long drive and realised that one annoyance is the piano-black gloss parts of the dashboard.

Mostly around the gear-shift, and the right side of the steering wheel.

If the sun is in the wrong direction this can be blinding and theres little you can do to block it. I have done a bit of googling, but i cant find anything specific to solve this.

Is anyone aware of a wrap, cover, or replacement plastics that can reduce this glare?

Sunglasses? 8)
Sunglasses only really work for glare in front of you, this glare is coming from below. Even the visor doesnt block it, and if the roof is down you could have the sun hit it at almost any angle.

I figured this would be something simple like a "screen protector" style stick on cover or something. Apparently its not something anyone else has considered?

Its the diference between this

Mine is like the latter, and as you can see the gear shift surround is extremely shiny.

I have found some protection film, but it looks like its just clear "screen protector" type film, not matte finish. So probably wont do anything. https://www.amazon.co.uk/BeVaaL-Dashboard-Navigation-Protective-Accessories/dp/B0B9SST4WL?th=1

You could try some window frosting film, ive just used some of this on some of our house windows, and it will stop the glare / reflections...
