Match director

Hi,

Anyone installed ATF Match amp with control?

Interested to hear ideas/options/opinions where to put (preferably stealth) the match director display.

Think I will try to put it either in the small compartment in the dash, under the armrest or maybe even in the skihatch.

Must be better options possible right, or not? ^^

I’ve got a Match 10 DSP with a Director to replace my 677 audio on my E89…

I fitted mine in the E89 cigarette tray between the shift lever and the heated seats switch cluster ..

Since that video shoot I removed the supplementary case that’s a director option and it now seats very neatly..

Not sure where on a g29 it would fit..🧐

I tucked mine under the armrest and it works great. Easy enough to access when you need to adjust, but completely hidden the rest of the time. Keeps the dash nice and clean too

Sorry to be a bit dumb. But what does the "match director" do.?
The Director is a remote (to the DSP or head unit) audio control unit that can do the following

Select different 'sound stages' on the fly..so you may set up the system phasing, time delay, speaker equalisation, gain for each speaker / channel along with DSP processing for centre stage, loudness, bass management, differntial rear fill etc etc .

So you can have 11 ish different ones for say normal, roof down windows up, roof down windows down, slow speed, hooning etc etc

In addition it allows you to alter on the fly sub woofer, vsarious input sources (upto 3 on the Match), second level tone controls (volume and frequency roll off)..

So pretty clever device and way way beyond anything stock system can do..
