Marks on roof lining

Been out in zed over the weekend and noticed a white deposit on the roof lining this followed the outline
of the reinforcing/padding in the hood. Wiped off easy but what could have caused it? :(

Impossible to say without seeing it/photos. One possibility could be from mildew with leaving it open. Friction from movement also leaves flat areas that appear whiter or shiny and again come off easily until they wear in really deep.
 
No i don't leave it open but i have caught it with the power wash when removing carelessly spread soap.
I don't think that type of roof is up to that force of water. Before anybody says it i DON'T POWER WASH the fabric roof
but its only appeared after my last wash. Will check it again later.
