Manual talk
All that effort changing gears for less outcome. So last year :poke:
I’m enjoying still being coordinated enough to manage my own gear changes like I did last year.
Pleased to hear it. I'm at an age now where any assistance is generally appreciated even if it's not always needed.

Providing it's free of course. :D

I love a manual. Saying that, I live in London and could only justify a manual as a second car. It’s hard bloody work being stuck in traffic.

It says only in USA market too?

I believe it’s now confirmed for U.K. and Germany at least if not other European markets as well

Announcement mid January according to BMWBLOG iirc

It’ll be interesting to see what the changes make to dampers and steering feel if it happens. It needs livening up a bit for a manual box. Should make for a superb car if it happens here and a real alternative to a boxster if the changes are good.

718 GTS 4.0 are occasionally dropping into what the new Zed manual price range will be, albeit with very low spec. However the 4 pot turbo boxster engine whilst being very good it really is dull, and I’d think the Zed could be a real alternative in manual guise if you want a manual car.

The next question is... Will anyone actually buy one? Especially if manual commands a premium as in the US?

Well it will look different with the 20” rear and only 10 front.
It sounds like nice changes, however with my driving in London……it will be a nightmare. As a weekend car it would be fantastic.

I think it will be a similar thought process for most people. Anyone who genuinely wants a "pure" driving experience like the good ol' days will just buy a Z4M... or a Porsche.

Or maybe a Toyota Supra if they want a Coupe!
