Make me an offer....Z4MR 2006

So as I sit out on the balcony while on holiday, as most of you know due to an e89 purchase my Z4MR is up for sale ... See the thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=47895 ... Although in theory I don't need to sell the car super quick, I would like to start sorting the finances out I.e. paying off part of the e89 loan.

So my question is...if you are looking for an MR or not, if you ignore the asking price, what would you genuinely offer - I.e not what do you think it is worth, but what would you pay for it! I have had a few lower offers, and I have considered putting it on the bay, but interested to see if the offers I have received are not low, but just on the money and I am a deluded old fool :D

I'd only offer £0.50.

Obviously that's nowhere near what it's 'worth', but that's all I'd offer because it's an MR and I'd only strip it for parts :poke:

Stripping it for parts has crossed my mind, but think I would get more and it is easier to sell whole, I bet there is not a lot in it though.

Your price looks good compared to others out there, but as you say there are quite a few for sale, it's specialist kit and there are a lot of unrealistic sellers. Personally If I was in the market I really wouldn't want to be spending more than £10k on a 7 year old car that's used as a toy, I don't know what trade price is going to be but I'd say £10,500 for a private sale or I'd wait until next spring when another slice of depreciation has brought one in to range.

BTW it does look the cracking GLWTS

Chris,
I really liked your car, but one came up at considerably less, £10.6 to be precise from a dealer. I didn't call you as to be frank i thought you would have been offended at this level. Have you tried all the We buy any car type people, if for no other reason than to get some gauge of what the market is paying? I did a few HPI searches and valuations, trade in would be £9.3-£9.8 on a car like yours, so would take this as the rock bottom worth if you wanted to know.

I have just bought the grey Z4MR that was also on here for sale and looked at everything that was up for sale at the time. Considering what else is available I think i would have offered you 11k and not paid more than 11.5k
But thats just my opinion, working from my budget, if someone really wanted that colour they might pay more.

I appreciate all your comments, at the end of the day the car is worth what someone will pay - so based on this thread I would go for 10.5 - 11.5.

Mark - I'm glad you found your M, I guess you always have to make an offer as you never know.

I have some interest, but all I can say is that I can see why a lot of z4 M's stay on the market a long time at some of the crazy high prices. Unless sellers take a lot lower.
