Magic Trees, warning

The coat hangers which are set into the wind deflectors, which are fitted within the roll bars seemed an ideal position to hang a couple of Magic Trees, however , the chemicals within the magic tree has bubbled the finish on the plastic panels behind the seat, think ill just make do with a smelly car

Interesting what you say. I recently hooked a Yankee Candle Car Jar (Midsummer's Night fragrance) onto the net where the shelf is behind the seats (E89). I was cautious about it touching any bits of plastic so its resting against the bit that has carpet on it, but I'll need to check it doesn't discolour or stain it, although most of it still has the plastic wrapping on it. The thing is, the fragrance is so strong it was making my eyes water today and that was with the roof down.

A lot of airfreshners like the magic trees etc do stain plastic trim, not sure of the chemicals incorporated but it wouldnt surprise me if there is some sort of solvent product hidden within the mix.

I also have the Chemical Guys "New Car Smell" spray freshener. The idea is to spray onto the floor mats. I have to say its the worst car product I have ever bought - it smells like pine disinfectant!! :?

And those chemicals which stain the plastic trim are the ones you breathe in........

Exactly.

I never use any of these poisonous things after one of those Glade-type air fresheners was knocked over on its side and left on top of the fridge.....it stripped the paint down to the bare metal in a couple of days or so. And as Alan says, you are breathing in an aerosol of the bloody stuff! :o

If you don't believe me, try it on a test piece.....
