Came fitted to my 2.5 Z4 but I’ve decided to go back to the originals.

Not sure if this size is for the 2.5 as I felt they were a little big but they do fit and will tighten up.

I think you might have to have a certain number of posts before you can PM just so you’re aware. I missed a couple of bits as I didn’t realise before I had enough posts when I joined.
 
Still for sale folks!!

malc24 didn't want them in the end as they didn't quite fit his 2007 2.5 without slight adjustment which he wasn't prepared to do but IMHO they would have looked great with little effort :(

Mines a 2003 2.5 and the standard tips are thinner than the slightly newer/facelift same shape 2.5. On mine the monkey pipes just seem too big and when you look directly from behind you can see the thinner standard pipes inside and makes them look very bolt on. Not sure if the right size where purchased originally. They do fit but not to my tastes.

But!! When these were put against the facelift ones of Malc24 they where almost the same size and with a slight grinding/filing of the metal blocks that are used to secure these on the back edge of the tips I’m sure these would look great, can’t beleive they didn’t sell originally??
 
No worries, will have a look at mine tomorrow.
It’s a 2006, so assume the same as malc24, so will need the blocks grinding down.

Yes it was only very slightly but they guy didn’t look the sort to get his hands dirty (sorry Malc24) and as such must have seen it as pain.

The tips on Malc24’s E85 were 54mm approx and the monkey tips were around 56mm approx, like I say it looked an easy fix.

Each tip has a small block on opposite sides to seat the tip central onto the pipe and one has the threads inside for the bolts to hold it in place.
 
If they don’t sell I’m looking to see if I can fit them over my standard chrome trims but they might need too much trimming off the blocks but the pipes themselves fit over.
 
Measured my tips, only 60mm app without my glasses, so think I’d have the same issue as you.

Not the same problem as me (my tips are too small) but the same as Malc24 in the The Monkey tips need slight adjustment the allow the bigger tip inside. Without the blocks they are 70mm.
 
Ok, thanks , but still would look odd, 60mm diam inside 70mm.
You said his were 54mm, mine are 60mm
