Gents, I have a fantastic deal for 10W60 oil, and I see that some of M models is using 10W-60 oil, so I wanted to ask you, if can I switch from Castrol Edge M LL04 5W-30 to 10W-60?

Cheers!

I would read what Opie Oils say about switching to 10W-60

I would, if some of you didn't want to exit EU, so I would gladly ship from Croatia to UK whatever you like, but noooo you didn't want a single market.. now I can't buy anything in the UK that isn't under customs and VAT :( .

Any machine highly stressed and technical you MUST use the correct oil and service it correctly, maybe it will run OK for a while on cheap oil, until it gets gummed up, or a part does not get enough lubrication

Can you point me to some cheap 10W/60 please :P

Bought a 'man' sized bottle recently and even that was ~£10/ltr ish :( WhatsApp Image 2022-09-29 at 12.03.54.jpeg

Reminds me I have 10l of 10W60 left over from when I was incorrectly advised to use it for the N52 on track. Perhaps it was an investment

Fair enough I should have said “wrong” oil
Although Castrol 5w 30LL is nearly £10 a litre

No, your sentiment was quite correct, it's just that 10W60 is a somewhat unusual grade and is rarely available 'cheaply' from any producer (apart from the 2 days a few years back when someone at ECP made the price of 5 litre bottles of castrol 10w60 to be £11 or something :D ).

If it's castrol I'll happily buy it :)
