m3 19's?.. fit?

Hi all
new to the z4..
will put a post up this eve saying hi and about me and the car..
quick Q.. have a 56 plate roadster.. hate the 16's on it with a passion..

do genuine m3 19inch wheels fit straight with no issues?

anyone got some wheels for sale in kent area :)(with tyres)

thanks
pete

They will fit , but rear offset is incorrect.

The rear wheels will fit slightly proud of the arch. Some don't mind the look, have a look around as it's been discussed before.

Mr Wilks is your man for wheels for the Z4

Look at the photo competition thread and see my photo. Mines an M so it might be different but I put e92 m3 19" gen bmw 220 style wheels on with 255 rear and 225 fronts and the car feels and drives fine. No spacers.

Hi Pete

They don't fit on I am afraid. The M cars have a narrower rear axel so the wheels will stick out to far. Unless you get the back of the wheel (the face that mates to the hub) machined or you add camber lower the car and roll the arches they will rub. 2 sets of fronts will fit but not the rears easily.

If you did fancy getting a set I might be interested in swapping my fronts for the rears???

Hi machine monkey. You've got me worried now. Are you saying that 19" don't fit my mc properly? What's wrong with them and what do I need to do to make them fit properly? Thanks. Andy

No need to worry yours look perfect. Yours is an M right? They have a different rear axel to non M cars and as the op has 16" standard wheels I am guessing it's not an M. I have the e46 19" and struggled to get them on without rubbing the arches.

I love the e90 wheels I had a set of replica ones first on mine. Your car looks great

okay thanks. been very helpful.
ill looks see what 18's can find then.. its just a baby 2.0 hence the silly 16's
i do fancy some mv2 or csl reps if i could find some...

Like I say if you can get 4 front ones they should go straight on

Keep an eye on hear Pete there is usually something for sale. Maybe PM mr Wilks he rose a nice trade on wheels hear. And he is a really nice guy and has sorted lots of happy people on hear

Thanks machine monkey - I'm a builder not a mechanic so thought I could have buggered it up! Give me a bit of wood anyday! Thanks for your help.

No bother they do look really good. Kind of want another set now!!

Found my set set on ebay. Genuine but need a lot of tlc. Cost me £240 but the refurb was £400. Got the wheel specialist to powder coat, diamond cut the front surfaces then highly polish the diamond cut surfaces and leave them un lacquered. I then used the carbon collectives wheel sealant to keep them shiny but unfortunately used my wife's cotton pads to apply sealant, which I didn't realise we're disintegrating during application of the sealant - I now have hairy wheels! (Schoolboy error- doh) will get them re-polished sometime in the new year.

Yeah i wish i paid someone to do mine!! My wheels where painted silver and i had to strip all the paint off and them polish up the face. It was a labor of love!

Wise move not lacquering them. I haven't done mine and it just takes about 15minutes to polish them back up. I use a polishing attachment on a pistol drill.
