Evening All,
The search for my zed roadster has resumed after lots of hurried saving.Recon i'll end up with around 03-04 2.5 or hopfully 3.0,but with approx £5000 to spend we'll have to see,might have to wait until autumn,but really want one this summer........
I really want to have M Tech seats(with the deeper side bolsters)but these dont seem to be fitted to the earlier cars,I am thinking of buying a car and fitting some later if I can source some,I wonder if anyone could tell me if the M Tech seats will fit straight in and are they available with manual adjusters.Also,do all Z4s come pre wired for fitment of electric seats.

Depends. Pre facelift seats differ from facelift seats. If you fit seats from 2006 onwards to a pre 2006 car, you'll need to wire in the pre 2006 occupancy sensors (linked to the airbag). If you stay with pre 2006 M sport seats on a pre 2006 car, you should be ok.

You'll pay around £650-£900 for the seats and matching door cards. It's not a cheap upgrade
 
Thanks Adamski,your advice is much appriciated,very handy to know there are differences....yeah its a pricey upgrade,might wait and save a bit more for a sport....we'll see,the search goes on.... :)
 
Iv seen Face Lift - M Sports seats going for £250 on eBay, depends because you can get Heated non-heated, electric and non electric, colour etc etc.... You can keep your existing cards if there the same colour.
Also it's not too difficult to sort the occupancy sensor fixed up.
Go for it it's not too difficult mod.
