m steering wheel pricing? confused

Hi
I just rang the local dealer to price a m wheel for my car the multifunction one was 225 and without multi function was 400 odd!!!
have i got the parts mixed up the number for the mfsw was the one from here and the non one was 32307906779

and there was me thinking id save some money lol
 
I THINK (not entirely sure) that £225 item is the black one that a couple people have bought (the 3.0si Sport wheel?). I think the £400 for the wheel is the genuine tri-coloured M wheel. I bought the latter for £130ish (eBay) but then couldn't buy the M spokes seperately (even speaking to BMW parts), so managed to bodge it with the standard spokes... there's a couple threads active at the moment and, as of this morning, a How To!

For £225 the former is a great upgrade :thumbsup:
 
Have read on here that the non Multi Function M.Wheel cost more as less demand which i find very odd.

Have tried to buy a non Multi Function plain black M.Wheel for my 04 3.0 but they cannot find the part when using my chassis number only one that comes up on the Computer is the Multi Function wheel anyone have an OEM part number for the non Mutli Function M.Steering Wheel in plain black
 
Neither parts came up against my reg when several dealers checked - had to give BMW Parts the nos :headbang:
