M-Sports Suspension removable?

Hi all,

I am looking at getting my first z4 very soon, and have a question. I am looking at getting a 2003/4 3.0i SE roadster.
I was looking at the BMW approved used section and apart from being very few to choose from in my budget, they all pretty much seem to have M-Sports Suspension listed on them, which seems strange as its not the sport version.

I would very much like to have a reasonable ride quality and did not want to get the sports suspension, so is it possible for BMW or somebody to put it back to "normal" ? At least that way it opens up more buying options. From what I have been reading I was not sure if it is just related to the springs.

I think all pre 3.0 have sport springs as standard.

I'd imagine you could just swap the spings over - but once you get rid of the RFT the ride is meant to be much better anyway - and the sport springs makes the car look much better - imo i even think the sport springs are still a little too high.
