M Sport models now configurable on UK site

Just ran the same spec as my own car (sDrive23i) through the UK configurator, only in M Sport trim and in white. Came out at £37,660 :? Adding a metallic colour would tip it over £38,000 (didn't realise Melbourne red is metallic). The 35is is not yet available to configure. This is one seriously pricey car - I really can see a market for a Z2.

That's unbelievable for a 23i :o

Used prices seem to be increasing too.

Kansas leather is standard as are the sports seats. The optional 19's are £515, PDC front and rear: £605 and the Pro Sat Nav is £2180... and a few other options at a few hundred.

I have just returned from dealer after MOT (pass :) ). I briefly spoke to the salesman about valuation of my Zed and 8% discount on new M Sport model. He said such discount is possible. So I think if I am getting more serious (putting deposit down and placing order now), hugh discount is really possible.

When you look at the used prices of new Z4 (with sport seats, brushed aluminium trim, leather), price starts from £27k. If I can get a brand new basic sDrive23i M Sport for £30-£31k, I would rather have a new car.

A sDrive23i M Sport with few popular options (metallic paint, connectivity package, heated seats, auto-dimming mirror, rain sensor, etc) will come to £35,575 (£31k after 8% discount). I believe I can get a fully loaded sDrive35i with DCT and adaptive M sport suspension for less after this summer. I think I should wait.

Hmm maybe, wonder how prices will go as summer approaches. Are you not thinking at all about a 30i?

I consider all engine sizes. Options fitted in the car are more important. I rather have a fully loaded 23i, but not a 35i without sat nav and bluetooth. Just looked at AUC, and there are few 23i around £26k. But prices may go up again in May/June.

When people part exchange E85 for E89 in summer, I don't think any benefits will be gained. Only benefit if you want a coupe/saloon when everyone wants to buy a roadster.

Just configured a 35is on the UK site to the spec of the one I have now as far as options go.

£50,175 !! Blimey!! Top spec over £53,000!! :o

I'd rather put the extra and get a Nissan GTR!!! :P

A bit expensive.

I wouldn't want a small engined one with the extra weight either. 30 or 35 for me only I think!

Z2 all the way. Just make it the same kinda dimensions etc as old Z4, with rag roof, bigger boot than new Z4 haha, cheap, and similar power to weights with the NA range of engines.

Brmmmm.

As nice as the new Z4 probably is, those costs are quite stunning. A top-end 3.0i with lots of nice options was only £33,000 list! The 3.0 Si's were even better bargains really, sports seats standard, 265bhp etc...

At the height of the "crunch" last January I saw a 4 month old 3.0Si with a few options and 100 miles or something for £20k on the AUC website. And decent 3.0Si were available for £25-27k nearly new. Now the 30i is £33-35k and the 35i is even worse.

It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next 6 months or so. The stock does seem to be selling though, not many cars are hanging around even at those prices.
