M Seats fitted - Finally!

After a long and impatient search, I have finally found some M-Seats.

Andy (Sixspeed) had a set of Heated Electric Memory seats which he'd removed from his M Coupe, which he kindly dropped round yesterday (Thanks Andy :thumbsup: )

In anticipation, I had already sourced a heated seat switch and occupancy bypass. The seats are in near perfect condition, I believe they have only done around 20k miles, and look even better after a condition with Meg's leather conditioner.

Installation was easy thanks to the help on here, and I've already been for a drive to take advantage of the good bank-holiday weather
Wow...the car is totally transformed, there's noticeably more feel through the seat, it feels and looks so much sportier - definitely worth it!

Here are some photos of the seats, and a couple of extra ones of the car to show a few other mods (such as clear lights all round):

Tips are next on the list, however I need to let the bank balance recover a little first (they're not actually that bad, the shadow makes them look a lot worse than they appear in the photo).

Looks good. The M seats make for a much more enjoyable drive - especially in the twisty bits. I used to slip and slide around in my SE seats; I'm much more planted in the M seats :thumbsup:

Funny how simple things completely transform the driving pleasure. I tried a few zeds before buying mine and the one thing which I found completely changed things was the thick m sport steering wheel. I should imagine the seats do the same.

The standard seats, pre-facelift black heater dials, and orange indicators were the only things I disliked about the car when I bought it, now I have sorted these out i'm happy :D

I'm hoping to knock this zeditis on the head now!

They look great Andrew very glad you have finally found them. And they look fantastic and in very good condition.

The tips do look like they need some monkey madness. And the gear knob and handbrake could o with updating :poke:

Once you contract zeditis there is no cure!!!

Don't tempt me! i've been on here since 2010 so I think i've shown good restraint along the years!

I was beginning to lose hope of finding any. Are you still looking at converting a set of standards to sports seats?

I'm contemplating whether to sell my standard seats, or store them for years!

Thanks Mark! They were expensive, but completely worth it. I should get most of the money back when I sell the car as I'll sell these separately, so it's only the initial outlay which is expensive.

Transform the look and feel of the car Vs standard. Well done - worth the hunt and fitting. Loved mine since the day I found and fitted a set of sports seats :thumbsup:

Sure you will be able to sell for near what you paid so a investment really given how cars lose money..

You have done well!! I have only Been hear since October and can't list them all! If you fancy anything just let me know.

I have got a set but if my plan works I might need more. I will be in touch if I need them :thumbsup:
