///M in for faulty lights and broken cup holder!

Dropped my ///M into the dealers this morning to have my dodgy xenon passenger light look at under warranty.

For the past few weeks now it would stop comming on yet the drivers side would be working fine. Few flicks on/off and hey presto the light comes back on - all good. Turn the light off/on - the passenger light is off again. Turn them off/on a few more times and then BOTH headlights stop working (halos remain on!)

In my prior 3.0si i had the same issue and BMW ended up changing the ignitor and ballast under warranty. To start with they said it was the bulb - which I knew it was not!

Also drivers side cupholder broke, spring flew out just as i was putting in a coffee - typical!

...Hello warranty!

Anyone else had these issues on the ///M?

I just bought my ///M yesterday but just noticed my driver side cup holder is broke the same as yours :thumbsdown:

Will most probably be the control unit. Mine was nakard too! £780 + labour :thumbsdown:

Cup holders are a common issue on all Zeds, as they're the same part.

The xenon unit is also shared with other facelift Zeds, and other than the odd bulb going, haven't seen many complaints.

Well standard BMW said the control unit was not covered due to water ingress - my arse!

My issue is that I have an MoT due very soon and didn't have the time to mess around with them and contest like I usually do.

Bought an original item off eBay and do a DIY job. Once I take the old one out I will write to BMW and claim that way.

So annoying!

Plus cup holder wasn't in stock - grrrrr
