Shame its not black :headbang:

Why?
With those scratches on it and just about every other used bumper on fleabay a respray will be necessary so surely colour becomes irrelevent.

I keep seeing these and think would love one! but on costs its a major mod, bumper £250 , other bits say £100 your looking at least £300-£350 to get it sprayed so all in £700 quid just seems such a lot ... although it looks great just cannot afford it... :( misses has big plans for the house this year maybe 2013.....

I didn't have a proper look, just spotted it was blue. I would prefer to find a black one that doesnt need much work done on it

check the one in the link.

Buy it now £150.
respray £200 mine was £185
other bits £100
______
£450

Still not cheap but quite a bit cheaper than your guestimate.

Adamski is any black M bumper going to be the same black as your Zed? Chances are it will need a respray even if it is black.

Chaps was talking genrally "re-price" , I spent an age finding a good bodyshop with a solid reputation and when I had my 350z front bumper resprayed cost me just over £300 quid+ vat (sunset orange 23 colour cards  ) so working on thats as for "me" as I would need a metalic spray not solid apperciate you can get cheaper prices, I thought that it said 250 not 150 for bumper my bad, either way it can be a more expensive mod than it first looks this was the genral point.

If you know someone in a good bodyshop makes life a lot easier regarding price, but 70% people will not have a connection so therefor you end up paying much more than quotes of 180-220 .. even if someone quoted me 200 still vat at 20% if I wanted the worked warrented. I had a number of quotes when I was getting a bumper resprayed (No local connections moved to a new area) best rep garage end up much more some garages gave me quote of 500+ :o

Would agree would be a great mod , wish I had the budget

Am I being naive/too optomistic that I might find a bumper that could be a direct swap? :(

Unfortunately yes, as most if not all will have come from 'write off' cars

I bought an M-bumper off eBay just relying on the images taken by the seller - big mistake! The bumper was not only split but it was also bent (warped) from the front on impact. The bumper looked fine in the picture, I got numerous quotes on repairing it and everyone said the same 'it will be cheaper to buy a new one'!!! On that principal, if you want one then save yourself the hassle and just save up and buy one from MStyle :)

(just my personal opinion :) )

I was hoping I could find a rear-end shunt  I'll need to keep saving the pennies for this mod then...

Its a fantastic mod and if the bumper is new from the start then you wont have any problems fitting it and not ending up with uneven gaps around the headlights or bonnet :D

Hmm, I've just bought a facelift bumper in sapphire black with grills and fog lights for £140 delivered....

Do I also buy this bumper as a longer term project?

This may be a stupid question, but what do you do with the original fog lights? If you took them off wouldnt this set of the dash warning light?
