O.K so Iv'e bought serious performance clay bar and bottle of serious show detailer, but what is the best lube for the clay bar,can you make your own up, what do you use. :?

A very meagre amount of shampoo mixed with plenty of water works as a great clay lube and has no silicones in compared to most QD's on the market. Costs little and works best imo.

I clayed mine a couple of weeks ago, and that's exactly what I used!!!

Slight hijack..... how often do you rework your clay (i.e. fold over etc..) and how do you know when its finally had enough???

Working myself up to my first claying experience..... :)

Fold mine after every section i do and when you cannot get a clean side thats time to bin it or if it starts to break up then its done.

Clayed both cars today after washing then polished, Have to say the paint seems better on the 330 then the zed,but both look good

Can I use any car shampoo and water with AG clay bar? Or should I only use the AG QD spray provided as lube?

Used car shampoo and water on mine, then after claying washed car again before drying and polish.

Your QD will be fine. If using shampoo, you wont need much and dont use a shampoo with a wax basis.
