Lowered Zed? - Opinions Please

Hi, would like to lower my coupe to visually reduce arch gap, I'm already happy with the handling.

Its got a M front bumper and 19" CSL - Will it be difficult to live with lowered?
Do you catch the floor?
Any Pics to convince me?
H&R or Ebiach?

Cheers

I've got the same combination as you, wheels, bumper and it's lowered on eibachs.

99% of the time it's fine, but the issue is you never know where the 1% will crop up. ramps are the biggest pain, steep driveways will always make me cringe a bit. speed bumps are not so bad, just take them slow so the suspension doesn't compress too much.

a lot I guess depends on your local authority's attitude to road maintenance, where I am they're terrible.

bumper seems to catch occasionally.

I have a ramp into my garage and if I don't get the right angle of approach I find hollows in the lane coupled with the incline can cause the underside to catch the metal threshold lip of my garage also.

it's not a massive issue though.

not got many pics unfortunately - i'm a bit old skool when it comes to cameras...never trust a man with a camera I say..

This sits a little lower. But any sharp incline/decline is a negative.

Looks great though :)

back could go a little lower but I guess there are more variables on that, full tank of fuel and boot full of junk could cause issues, whereas the front's pretty much a constant weight.

I'm lowered on 19's with an ///M front.

The front bumper 'fins' do catch on speedbumps. I bought some metal plates from a guy on here to stop further damage.

The bits of plastic just infront of the rear wheels (look underneath your car) also scrape regularly.

Nothing terrible, just annoying.

Mines a daily driver. Ride is quite firm and you feel every bump in the road. Wasn't much better when standard though.

My front fins catch from time to time on a slope-some multistories can be tricky! (but i have fitted metal plates under them)

But the flap or rubber infront of my rear wheels catch speed bumps more often.

ben g, What sprints are your car lowered on? Looks perfect height!

Still undecided as I love the look but is it worth the worry of the car scraping on every bump

Staggered 19" CSLs and 30mm Eibachs, with Powerflex front bushes.

Car handles beautifully. Can be a bit stiff sometimes, but I don't mind it and use it as a daily driver.

i had a really low car (well still have it) but the Z4 seems to be as low if not lower and thats on OEM springs. i went to a carpark the other day that had them flip down things in the ground to make you go one way. they scrapped the underside as i went over them. so dont want to lower mine. its more down to where you love, round here there are speed bumps on every road and would just be a pain.
