Lower grill

How easy is it to remove the lower grill? I'm wanting to either gloss it or lacquer it, give it a shine to match my kidney grills. Has anyone done this?

It comes off easily, just held in place with a few of those metal saucer shaped thingies which bite into little plastic pegs.

You'll need the front bumper off though ideally - which is again fairly straight forward, just need to be gentle clipping in and out of the side brackets as they are easy to snap.

As another thought, I was fed up with trying the fiddly cleaning process on the wife's car, so yesterday I tried spraying it with Autoglym Tyre Dressing. Comes up a treat.
