Loud clunk when unlocking car

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this. I've noticed the past 2 days now that when I unlock the car with the remote, I hear a very loud "Clunk" coming from the drivers side. Either the door or the fuel cover. Thing it, it does it intermittently, usually after the car has been standing for a few minutes, so when I stand next to it after it has clunked and try again, it doesn't do it!

Its very loud and noticeable when it does it!!!
 
No -its intermittent,tried oiling the pin in the fuel cap as this is where it sounds the loudest,but it seems fine for days/weeks then it will have a 'blip' over a couple of days then back to normal :roll:
 
With mine its the drivers door - noticed when its unlocked the pin inside bounces up and down with the very loud clunk. May try and grease it see if that helps but sounds like something to do with the deadlock inside....
