Just a warning to people, if you remove the rear cover from your headlight, then make sure its on correctly

One of my side light bulbs went out the other day & as ive had previous problems with loose wiring I took the rear cap off in the dark with a torch in hand
unfortunately the bulb had blown so I put it all back together & drove home

Came to drive it a couple of days later after a couple of days of rain & one of the main beams were off, looked into it today & found a litre of water in the headlight!!

Its currently dismantled & sat in front of my radiator at home :(

Ye p - common problem. Wired trapped in the seal or even slightly worn or damaged and it will soon mist up. Yours is an extreme example when I assume it wasn't fitted on correctly.

Glad you found it before it corroded to bits.

I'm convinced the designer responsible for the water resistance of the Zed and it's parts was a Bedouin, or someone equally unfamiliar with rain and the behaviour of water. :headbang:

I ordered a new cover today for mine. Saturday the bumper's coming off and I'll take the headlight out, dry it all out,and fit a new cover.

£10 well spent TBH.

luckily once the headlight has dried out the main beam worked! only down side is the side lights on both headlights now dont work :(
