Looking to return to a road I drove last year

In the next few week I would like to return to a road I drove in my 2ltr Z4, this time I will be in my Z4M so I have very little idea where it is other than it is not too far from Manchester.
Here is a picture of the lay-by with my old car in it

So off to Google maps to see if I have a time line for that date

So that narrows it down to North of Manchester and not the Peak District.
Then looking at the other photos I noticed my garmin was on the windscreen and still on

Zoomed in and the location at the bottom is Lythe Fell Lane
Back to Google maps and street view

So I have found it therefore plan to return to the road and take some new photos of the new Z

But just imagine how other people can track down what you have been up to, with access to a small amount of digital data

Was abut to suggest Forest of Bowland, but then carried on reading and realised you'd worked it out yourself.

I think that was the same road that I nearly took my front bumper off landing after a 30mph hump once :x

You did well to find it OP.

That roads looks like it will be loads of fun in an M - enjoy. :driving:

I wish I could find roads like that down here in the South East. :(

But it is a forest with no trees, well I did not find many that day.
Definitely Lythe Fell Rd between Bentham and Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland. A road myself and quite a few other forum members in the North West know very well :driving:

The word 'Forest' used in the name 'Forest of Bowland' comes from the latin 'foris' meaning 'outside/outdoors' which in Medieval times was used to describe a 'preserve' or 'royal hunting ground'. Trees don't even come into it although when you get to Slaidburn if you turn north and go a few miles up the road you will come to Gisburn Forest which is full of trees...millions of pine trees, and is the largest forest in Lancashire

A favourite of mine for getting into or out of the Yorks Dales :driving: to be fair its not a great drivers road but it is one to enjoy for the remoteness & scenery , heading into Bentham you have a great view of the 3 peaks & in the opposite direction you look down over Stocks reservoir & the Ribble valley .
