It's a she.

The site has been around for a long time and I think is slightly calmer than it used to be. I think at one point the whole page flashed and you could hardly see the text to read it or click links; other times you'd have an animation in which a tank would explode out of the page.

She is mad, and openly admits it, but it's clearly a working business model.

As others have said the site has been around a few years. She used to have an old Russian missile launcher parked in a field at the side of the A1M with the website address blazoned down the side. It certainly grabbed your attention. I think the local council asked her to remove the launcher from the field.
