looking to buy - pointers please

i'm really liking the idea of a z4 as a fun weekend car.
ideally i'm looking for the later hard top model, don't need the fastest model but dont want too high a mileage, maybe 40000 miles with full service history.
i'm looking at models on auto trader - seem to come in at £11000 plus for that - does that sound about right?

are there obvious things i should be checking for? - fluids that should be changed at certain intervals, parts to check that are often damaged etc?

any advice appreciated or anything else to keep in mind. thanks!

Assuming you are after E89 that mileage / budget will get you either a na 6cyl or turbo 4 pot .
Nothing to be majorly concerned over with either , same rules apply , current condition , how it drives , service record , spec etc (ideally serviced over & above manufacturers schedule especially with the turbo cars )
7/8 yr old cars should have at least 3 stamps if not 4 or 5
Always worth offering up any potential cars for scrutiny , there is a wealth of forum knowledge to tap into

Looks a perfect example , other than the 18s (as opposed to style 326 19s) there really is little to fault it on even at full ask price .
If all docs are correct & you can get closer to £10k , maybe £10250/£10400 ?? & you would be in prime position for right car + right price

You can do 95% from home , speak to the seller , usually sets your mind at rest or alarm bells ring , get all the history details photographed & my favourite ask if i'm nowhere close for viewing is walkround videos via Whatsapp , including hearing the car start / tickover from cold , all helps form opinion & can save wasted journey
