Hi Guy's

I was advised to have a look at this forum for further info, etc etc about the z4. I am after a 2 - 2.5 se, can somebody give me a idea about the price range for these on a say 04, with 70k millage on them??.. i've had a quick look at th elist of things to considere while taking a look at these sxy things... i'm starting to realy like the car..the more i see it..

Thanks in advance
Aamar

Cheapest 2.0 SE on bmw.co.uk is a 2005, £11,849, 44k Miles
Cheapest 2.5 SE is a 2003, £10,400, 30k Miles

Starting point would be your budget, and work from there.

Welcome

When buying a car with 70k on the clock remember to add the fact you may have to replace worn parts so allow this in your budget.

Not saying a higher mileage car is a bad thing there are plenty of very good examples on here.

You might find this link useful for a checklist of what to look out for:

aamarh - Dealership will always charge a premium (warranty included) and a good going over of the car.
GAZA62 has a good tip - I would watch out for extra wear and tear with higher mileage. Having said that, a car with lower mileage but not driven considerately would also be prone to more damage. Price range - as Un1eash said, look at the BMW used car websites (dealerships) and Autocar. This will give you an idea of the price ranges people are advertising. The quality of the car is very important - best to look at in person and get a feel - mucky scuffy car, rattly engine - maybe not well looked after. The mechanics of the car is so important, and only something you can gauge when you see a car. I can't say the perfect range for a car from a specific - depends on many factors - what people are willing to pay, condition, mileage, extras, colour(could be a factor).

Hope that helps a bit.

If it was me....
I would find the interior I like the best and go from there - one with extended cream leather is where I would start
Go for the biggest engine you can afford to insure
I would carefully check wheels and tyres as poor ones (refurb and new tyres) will cost about £1k to sort out / knock off price
Then I would consult the various checklists on the forum
