Looking for z4 with a 6k budget

Hey folks,

Totally new to this forum so first of all hi.

I have been looking at z4's for the past couple of months and have decided to buy one :-) I have a budget of 6k.

I'm looking for something with good service history, preferably about 80k max on the clock and here's the main bit, I'm looking for a hardtop as well. this has made my quest much more difficult. There was one in a dealer down south that I just missed last week :-( Preferably a 2.5 or 3.0 but if a really nice 2.0 came alongnid probably go for it.

If anyone has anything that matches please give me a shout.

Even if I don't purchase one through the forum I can see its a great resource so will prob be picking branis at some point :-)

Scott

Should be do-able.

The hard top looks like a good thing before you buy but once you have the car having a hard top loses its appeal. It did for me anyway. Being able to drop the roof all year round is worth not spending an extra 600 quid. Having the roof vandalised is pretty rare.

Good luck.

80k 3.0 for 6k with a hard top? Surely that's not possible.

I couldn't see a lot of 3.0's about for 6k full stop the other week? I hope my high mile'r isn't worth shirt buttons by this summer!!!

Good luck with the search though and let us know what you end up with!

Scottie, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the info for mine. It's a Sept 03 "53" 3.0 in black with only 64k,and has a hardtop.I havn't started advertising it yet,but it has a full dealer and indy history, serviced 2k ago,and will have a fresh MOT and Tax from Feb.I've owned it for 4.5 years and it's been faultless. I'm looking at a 911 this week so If all goes to plan I'll be putting it into the market soon.To be fair, if you want one with a hardtop, you'll need to be closer to a £ 7k budget.

Hi mate

i have an 2.5 03 plate silver z4 with what i have been told is an mtech kit on it 74K mot till july looking for around £6K for it i live near birmingham i havethe hardtop for it as well

Scottie21uk, welcome, and good luck with the search! You'll find loads of contrary opinions on here, not just on hardtops - personally, love the hardtop option I have (and use in winter), as it alters the appearance, looks great, more secure (when leaving in long term car parks), quieter on long winter drives......and saves cleaning the roof motor drains for a few months!

Less for entry, and more for vandalism. Expensive piece of kit to replace.

Thanks guys had 2 good offers so far one just being a little out my budget. Yeah the roof is more for vandalism. I have to park my car daily in a public car park. I used to have a 23 and its roof was torn be a pen that was left in it (Schoolkids!) so its just to easy a target to damage.

I was really worried about my roof as im parked road side in a roughish part of manchester but people don't seem to bother with it, security camera watching it and most ive ever seen was someone walking past and gliding the hands across the bonnet
