My lad has a G29, rear tyres need replacing soon, could anyone recommend a supplier with good deals at the moment ? Currently on Michelin Pilot sport pros 275 35 ZR19, I’m very grateful and will kick his arse to introduce himself on the Forum after a year of Zed ownership and not doing so :x

I found Tyre Shopper to be one of the cheapest. I bought one Pirelli tyre for my F31 through the Top Cash Back site. I got about £7 cash back just on one tyre so buying 4 would probably get you about £30 back It's 7.75% cash back at the moment. You can choose a tyre fitter in your area and the tyres are delivered directly to them. You just make an appointment to have them fitted and away you go.

Blackcircles is another good check :)

I use Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric on the E86 and find them to be excellent

Not heard of a Michelin Pilot Sport Pro model, but I'll assume you mean either the Pilot SuperSport, Pilot 4, or Pilot 4S?

What model is it? Is it fitted with runflats or normal tyres? Does he want ultimate grip, longevity, or typical English-weather performance?

If you're looking at similar levels of tyre perfomance, then the premium tyres that offer similar performance are:
  • Goodyear F1 Supersport
  • Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 5
  • Bridgestone Potenza Sport
  • Pirelli P-Zero PZ4
  • Dunlop SportMaxx RT2
  • Continental PremiumContact 6
  • Continental SportContact 6
  • Continental SportContact 5P

For mid-range tyres, you'd be looking at:
  • Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3
  • Falken Azensis FK510
  • Vredestein Ultrac Vorti+
  • GT Radial SportActive 2

Of course, supply issue may restrict what's currently available in your size, but the normal places to look for tyres (and watch out for potential import/duty/admin charges if you buy from outside the UK) would be:
  • Tyre-shopper
  • BlackCircles
  • Camskill
  • MyTyres
  • eTyres
  • TyreLeader
  • National Tyres
  • Oponeo
  • Asda Tyres
  • LoveTyres
  • ProTyre

I'm not loyal to any one particularly, so tend to go for whoever's got the best deal on at the time, and get them delivered to and fitted by my local tyre place.

Thank you all for your replies, mmm-five wow thanks ! He’s trawling the net as we speak

TyreReviews.co.uk is a very useful site...especially when they get the results of the latest UHP/HP summer tyres in :P

I recently got a set of Kumho Ecsta from Black Circles for my car for just under £400.

I've done about 1,000 miles on them and am very pleased with them.
