Longest time without a drive

Just wondering .. not including those who SORN their cars etc or go away on long business trips. What is the longest time you have gone without a spin in the zed?

It's coming up to 5/6 weeks since mine was last turned over (in the garage) I presume there are some worse?

I only managed a week and a bit (in garage ) ....couldn't resist, :) and now continue to use in the damp shitty cold weather.

2 weeks is the longest I've gone without a drive.
As far as I'm aware z4's don't dissolve during winter so it keeps being used :/

Couple of days but no longer. I use mine all year round, no point in keeping it off road when I've spent loads buying it. Plus I don't have the luxury of a garage so it sits outside in damp conditions so I use it everyday to help it from having problems.

My record is probably three weeks. I try to take her out, for at least a 10 mile spin every weekend. But if the roads are wet, then she don't come out. The roads are dry here today though and the suns just coming out. :D :driving: 8)

(PS and the surfs up  )

Two and a half weeks when we went away for our summer holiday. I couldn't SORN my car, I'd get withdrawal in a big way. Oh, and I'd be walking everywhere :D

If I have a week I am working at home a lot and it doesn't get much use I'll just go out for a drive to nowhere in particular for the hell of it at the weekend. It deserves it, and so do I :P

A week - but I find that when it's been a few days since I was in the Zed it highlights the reason why I love driving it when I get back in.

:driving:

Three maybe four weeks if I'm out of the country on business trips. Heated seats are fantastic so use it almost as much in winter as summer.

2 weeks while on holiday? often dont use it over a weekend as we have to use the lean green death machine when me and her go out.

cant say i get withdrawal from it (although i do appreciate it after being in the lean green death machine) that much. i guess tho i drive it every day so its just a car to me to get to work at least at this time of year its easier to get it to squirm around

Been a couple of weeks now :(

3 months since I last took the 200SX out!

Use my Fabia VRS or Mrs T's Chrysler for everyday stuff

So far Im about 3 weeks, but if the roads get gritted and theres just no days when they are dry it will sit in the garage til its decent again.

I don't really mind, it makes it more special when you do use it :)

4 hours. :D

Use it as my daily. Although the roads are wet and quite "shitty", it does provide one with some nice opportunities to get the back end out at relatively low speeds and with little damage to the tyres. Large roundabouts for example can be of great amusement in the damp.

Obviously before everyone tells me off for driving "dangerously". I make sure its clear of people, cars, children, bunny rabbits and endangered species beforehand. :driving:

Being in Canada where we get tons of winter snow and where the city applies tons of salt to melt ice on the roads, my car went into storage in my garage a week and a half ago. I expect to pull the cover off, disconnect the battery tender and get her back on the road in early May.

IE, Five (5) long cold months from now. Pray for me!

Oh your so dangerous

couldn't agree more..... cars are sealed etc, given them a rinse to get as much salt off and have fun..... always gutted when its a bit slippy that the westy is often in bits as a i know a few decent little quiet places to "accidentally" get.. er lose the back end... never on purpose mind ....

MIne has been sat since 1st Oct :(

I havent insured it so no choice for now but it kills me seeing her parked up!

From Friday night to Monday morning....that's about it.

I usually use the E93 at the weekends for errands and carting the dog about to puppy class.

About 25 years ago I used to leave my cars in the garage while I was at sea for 4 to 5 months, the Scimitar GTE suffered the worst siezed clutch, gearstick, steering linkage and brakes, managed to free the brakes and push it out into the road, got someone to give me a bump start that cleared the clutch, had to hit the gearstick hard with the heel of my hand to move it side to side and the steering with no power assist built up my arms. My 1992 Toyota MR2 was the best, left the brakes off while away but came home after 4 months engine started and drove off, do a bit of hard braking to clear the discs of rust and all ok. The older cars managed the long parking the best.
