Longest Range For 3.0si??

OK folks, I'm heading of to London this week for a wedding :zzzz:

Anyway I filled up with fuel and then had a look at what the range was.......

This is what I saw and to be honest I'd love to know if anyone has seen anything higher or is this a record? :winner:

I've noticed that mine starts at c290 mile and increases to +300 miles after a few miles, yet the tank average mpg is low 20s - meaning it can't be increasing due to current driving style. Any thoughts?
 
Going off topic - who's had the lowest :evil:

I got no pics to prove it, but mine was 275 once, although I'm on 3.0'i' not 'si'.

i think..i'm not sure..that the range is based on recent MPG calcs and maybe your trip computer probably hasn't been reset recently. so if your trip computer has calculated MPG over say 10,000 miles it may take into account some driving that was particularly enthusiastic and your range doesn't.

last week i had 8 miles showing as range...(i know!) and it went down to 3 after i'd reversed out of the driveway and back up to 6 when i was on the high street. so clearly the calculation on range is constantly updating.

if you reset your trip computer it'll fluctuate quite a lot at first then settle down.
