Hiya,
Finally got my alloys refurbished and my expansion tank fixed, just made her all shiny before the rain came down lol! Can't wait to go for a for a top down ride :driving: :D

Just the discs and calipers that let it down, next project I guess.

Hopefully the pictures work!

Thanks guys, I'm really pleased with the results of the wheels, can't stop looking at her!
Was washing her this evening and one of my neighbours came over to have a look and said they really like the car, that made me feel good. The garages I've had the work done at have also been full of praise....might need to tighten the security, eek!

So pleased I didn't sell her when I had an offer just after Christmas, it came very close...a lucky escape.
I guess I should try and meet up with some of you at some point now she's in a worthy condition :)

Hi mate, looks really good. I've got my 108's in for refurb at the moment, so I'm waiting to see the results. Hope they're as good as yours !!

Do you mind me asking how much you paid for your wheel refurb?

I'd be interested to know where you got them done as well as I've got a set to get refurbed.
 
Hi Guys,

The wheels were done at Headley Body Shop in Newbury, the work wasn't cheap at £480 inc. VAT but they were the most competitive quote I got out of the 4 I approached, all within a reasonable distance of where I live. This car was with them for 5 days, all rims split, chemically stripped, sand blasted etc. the full works. The other quotes were around the £550 mark and further away.
To bring the costs down they did say they didn't have to split them, that would have saved me a £100. They have done others like that but that wasn't what I was after. They have a Facebook page where you can see other alloys they've also worked on.

Hope that helped, out of interest what are you guys paying...a lot less I would imagine :cry:
