where can i purchase on line the little clips that hold it in place please folks? mine has 2 broken clips :(

looks to be £20 for the entire net, don't think you can get the clips seperately.

Demon Tweeks do this pocket http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=TOTMP and spare clips are available http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=TOTMPCLIP

I don't know if the clips are the same but they might work.

Can't you have a chat with your local dealer parts department and if you're on good terms with them, I'm sure you could buy some clips or be supplied with some - especially if they're broken....

When I picked up my latest nets, I was told that the clips only come in packs of 20 now.

However the lady at the parts department let me buy just 8 as I was still waiting for the boot 'extended storage' bits to come in from 8 weeks ago.

....the boot 'extended storage' bits.....

O/T

What are they then..? :?

You know the two little 'recesses' between the rear wheel arches & the tail-lights, where you have the little cubby-holes. This net is supposed to go on the outside of those to give you a couple more inches of storage.

I've been told it's only applicable to those with the extended storage pack, but they can't tell me why it will/won't fit in mine. It could simply be that the trim that covers the wheel arches is different and has brackets/clips pre-mounted for these nets, but I won't know until I see them.

Lateral trunk floor trim panel - BMW parts catalog

Part #3 is available in left & right sides, but the extended storage 'side panel' (part #1) is only different for the left hand side trim - so if the nets don't fit on the left, then I simply have to buy the LHS trim.

Is the front net extended storage?

If so, I can take some pics of my boot side partition areas. I think they look the same as my friends without extended storage in the front...

They will just self-tap in again I'd assume. I want the boot floor net, but it's a bit steep at £70 ish!

Keep us up to speed on that one mmm-five...!!

@Whippy,
I'd double check the boot floor net pricing, I've put one in my car and it only fits in the stepped down bit of boot on the //M. I wonder if it's different for the non boot mounted battery 3.0i's..?

In fact, the one I bought caused myself and the chap in the parts department great amusement at it's lack of size. He even said to me several times I didn't have to buy it if I didn't want it..!! That said, it does expand a bit...

You can just about see the LHS net in the coupé picture below, and I assume the RHS fits the same.

But that owner has also done a battery box mod which lets him fit the floor net better.

Part number is B51.47.2.263.062.

I have just ordered the net for my wife's car and the screws are separate and cost 26p each. (the net only costs 11.15)

nick is that reference for my query or for one of the boot ones?

The number B51.47.2.263.062 refers to the fitting screws for the footwell net.

Part numbers for footwell net & screws:
Parcel Net: 51-47-7-114-523 - £11.15+vat
Screw: 51-47-2-263-062 - £0.26+vat (4 needed for each net)

Installing the footwell net.

I assumed the 'screws' would simply screw into the carpet. It looks like I need to make a pilot hole. Is this what the rest of you have had to do? I wold like to check before I vandalise my wife's car.

Here's the post with instructions from when I did this myself.

Thanks for that. I see that I need to fit it much further down the tunnel than I had intended.

Without a pilot hole the 'screws' cannot be fitted!

Not necessarily Nick. The factory position is right down by the front of the tunnel, but who said the factory was always right...?
