Lights/Indicators Problem?

Husband says when he unlocks the car using the fob, the indicators don't flash and the lights don't come on. They used to. He's asking if this is a problem?

Could be the car battery is low, I had this happen on my E89. Invested in a trickle charger and then a new battery. How old is the battery in the car, they normally have a date code stamped on one of the battery posts (week/year) 5+ years consider a new one

The FRM on these cars get forgetful with age..if you start to get more weird things like front windows not dropping on command or various lights not responding then it could be that going downhill..
