Hi all,
I bought my e85 3.0i a few months ago and noticed the lights were different, presumably from light condensation or a minor front end bump.
One has a darker insert which I believe is from cheaper models, and one had a silver insert which I believe is from higher models?
Anyway, this bugged me so I bought another darker headlight because I preferred the look of the darker insert, thus had the silver headlight spare. This silver headlight has H7 embossed on the lens, but also a little metal box on the bottom which is related to xenon lights? (Pictures below).
Anyway, my car now has 2 dark insert halogen headlights, which I thought was fine, but I have no adjuster wheel for the lights and also headlight washers, presumably meaning my car should have xenons and not halogens? Is there a way to check what lights my car should have?
So my question is, is the headlight I have spare a xenon unit, and should my car have xenons for definite? In which case I'll keep the xenon lamp and sell the 2 halogen units. Obviously I don't want to be driving with halogens that don't self-adjust and no way to adjust them manually.
