Lhs strut cross bar snapped.

Hi folks, I'm new here and reasonably new to the z4. Purchased in December and absolutely love the drive.

Whilst puttering about on north norfolks finest bumpy roads yesterday, I became aware of a knocking noise eminaring from the dashboard area. Lifted the bonnet and found this.

Never heard of them snapping there!!!

I’ve seen that before on e85’s, maybe vibration related-no one really knows :?
You should be able to find a used one that’s not silly money

Bit of a PITA - consolation is, they're easy to replace and it's less involved than the more usual failure mode of a fractured suspension turret mount or weld....

I was quite surprised as I wasn't being stupid or hitting any potholes, just going around rhs corner with corrigations and the first thing I noticed was low tyre pressure warning came on. Then I heard the knocking. I'm thinking of splashing out on one of these

As Rob says it has happened before and been posted on here. Easier to fix than the usual place where they fail.
