Level 3 (Z4-Forum Exclusive)

It was a pleasure to get together with you guys again on Saturday. Really happy that we got to see your AW coupe Chad -- it's a beauty. And Sepang was also a rare sight to behold again. What a great contrast of colors we had that day! And no doubt the more often we all get together like this, the more tempted I am to upgrade to an MC. Simply beautiful in any color.

Here's a few pics from my set. A few more to come later tonight.

How did you get exclusive use of the car park level?

Probably just went on a weekend. The local M club does the same thing - if people are parked there on the weekend, none bother with going to the upper levels.

I like the tints on GP20's rear lights. What is it?
I was with GP20 when he got them tinted, although I don't remember what %VLT film was used. Hopefully he will pick up on the question and respond. Agreed... it looks wicked especially in combination with his car colour.

A couple of nice shots in there.

We're actually quite fortunate to be able to find these "empty lots" around here. I always keep a keen eye for potential shoot locations everytime I'm out driving, so scouting is definitely an advantage. We also try to find lots that are generally empty on the weekends but aren't well known to other car groups yet... hopefully by keeping it on the DL there won't be increased use of the lot. Unfortunately, a lot of places I've personally shot in are no longer as "quiet" as before, or has become restricted areas. :o

Sorry about the late reply. On my Z4MR, I bought the 50% light-smoke film from "headlight armor". I wanted to buy from them for my Z4MC but they didn't have the film for the center brake light. So I had a local tint/clear-bra shop custom-make templates and cut out films for both the tail-lights and the center brake light. The film the shop used was idential in thickness and darkness to the one I bought from headlight armor. From what the installer said, there are several brands of film, but they're ultimately all made by this one company in Canada.

It's definitely love it or hate it. And honestly, I think it doesn't look good on a bright day. It looks best on an over-cast day and especially when the car's in motion, and the tail-lights really show the depth depending on the lighting from different angles.

I don't think the smoked tail-light look can work on all colors. We tried the film on Rick Hunter's IR MC and it didn't work very well. But I think my Space Gray is one of the colors that can pull off that look and will match my TCK CF roof well (hurry up and deliver my CF roof already TCKline :headbang: )
