LED Lights vs Xenon

I bought a new Mini Copper the other night, part of the new range, and they are no longer providing Xenon lights as they say that modern tech has come so far with LED that Xenon will soon be redundant in most new cars now

This is what I bought

Yes I want LED in all new lights, look better as well! On another subject the council have recently fitted our street lamps with LED. Quite bright where they shine, but dark where they dont..

Me and the wifey test drove a new seat ibiza over the weekend... Looking to replace her fiesta... And that had led headlights too, i actually think they provide a better more even light output then xenons.

The only worry i would have would be if you had to replace them... I used to have a a5 company car as the drl's on that failed within the warranty and it required a replacement headlamp.

Yeah, everyone is fitting LEDs instead of xenons now. I'm not sure if every car is the same but on the new Leon the indicators are very, very hard to see. They don't seem to have done the headlight dining thing when the indicator is on.

The new Leon led headlamps are ridiculously bright.

One flashed me out yesterday and I could still see the light a few seconds afterward.

Looked lovely though.

Thats what I was looking at on the New Leon FR..

Drove a new Mini demo with LED lights through the Tyne Tunnel yesterday. Amazing concentration of light.
"Say Buddy, did you just see a real bright light?"
