LED Indicator Bulbs

Purchased some amber leds for the side indicators, plugged them in today but they seem to be on constantly (however very dim) and only getting a tad brighter when the indicator is on. Didn’t work when I switched the bulb around.

It could just be some dodgy bulbs I’ve got...

Can anyone recommend some led bulbs they have used that are bright and function as intended?

IMHO the only decent option is LED strip, someone posted a how-to for chase indicators using Arduino, but some 12 V strip will work. It's on my list of electrical mods to do.

W5W LEDs emit in the wrong direction and ones with multiple chips are not reliable enough.

If you want some for the rears I'm running OSRAM PY21W but the checks need coding out.
