LED front indicators

Hi

I want to get rid of the orange indicator bulbs in my clear headlights and thought I would go with LED ones instead. At the same time I'll change the sidelights and license plates lights to LEDs as well. I want to make sure I get the correct ones and hope that someone in here could help.

You'll stuggle to remove the orange from the front indicators without cutting the headlights apart. The indicators have an orange glass lens covering them that doesn't come out with the indicator bulb. Rather than changing to led you can just coat the glass lens in mirror film or do as I've done and add a couple of coats of black plasti-dip.
The license plate lights you mentioned there are pretty cool, I have them on mine and they light up the whole road behind the car at night time.

My Z4 has the original clear lens headlights so I don't think I'll have that problem? Haven't looked inside the headlight but from the outside there's nothing to see but the orange indicator bulb.

100% a orange glass dome... I got rid of mine and fitted led lamps as I didn't want to see any orange

Having followed a (non Z4) car which had done something similar on the motorway at night, I found them extremely irritating. It's illegal to display any white light at the rear of a car (other than reversing lights when the vehicle is in reverse, obviously), so I could imagine the police pulling you over for these.

OP - please think of the effect on other motorists before fitting LED number plate lights. Lighting up the whole road behind your car is not necessarily a cool thing to do!

Cut the headlights open! Do a search there is a massive thread regarding clear light conversion!
