LeatherZ Console and Armrest review

Just installed the LeatherZ Console and Armrest Package in the Zed - apparently they ain't making any more of these so I grabbed one of the last batch.

I'm sure this has been reviewed many times, but here's my initial thoughts:

Ergonomically this is a significant improvement to the cabin - you finally get somewhere handy to stow your phone, glasses and mask, and you get a comfortable armrest which is the same height both sides for both driver and passenger (the vinyl door armrest without this padding is not comfortable by any stretch). The Zed is now as comfortable as my E46 to settle into.

At a glance it looks like it belongs there - save for the difference in the age of the leather and for those of the incredibly anal persuasion that might notice the armrest base doesn't curve around the edge of the console.

I have wondered about those, but as my previous Zeds had Pearl Grey leather and now I've got Imola Red I thought the black would look a bit out of place.

But it looks right with your black seats.

Fab accessory Also means you don't need a smaller gear stick its at perfect height. One issue I have with it is when your in full attack mode I do find it gets in the way a bit.

First owner fitted mine back in 2006. After coming from an M coupe it is nice to have somewhere to put the sunglasses etc

I like red but I think there's enough red lol!

Be different if the car wasn't red, looks nice on the grey.
