Leather treatment

My Z passed its MOT on Saturday morning with flying colours so I decided to treat it to some leather cleaning. Sad thing to be doing on a Saturday afternoon; I know.

Following decent reviews from some users on here, and another forum, I plumped with Sonus cleaner and conditioner. Got the two and a ‘special sponge’ for about £15 all-in.

My seats weren’t especially dirty to start with but there were a few little marks that were bothering me, and I'm pleased to say they're not there anymore! This stuff worked really well, even reducing the appearance of slight scratches. I worked a small amount into each panel of the seat separately and I was quite pleased with the end result:

Not bad for a 7 year old car with 6 past owners anyway! Just seen a thread on how to reduce leather wrinkles too, so I'll be following that advice next!

Looks good!!

Funnily enough iv just spent my Lunch time at work cleaning the interior of my car.
Iv got a 2007 roadster with the same Red Leather seats, its only recently iv thought there not looking as Vibrant Red as others i have seen on other BM's.
So i bought some Autoglym Leather Care Balm and now with i took a before and after photo the difference is amazing!!!! Granted at first this is because there slightly damp/greasy from the cream, but its been on a couple of hours now and looks great!!

Thanks mate.

I'll keep that in mind as you don't get much in these pots and I can see myself going through it very quickly. But yes, the red leather doesn't look lovely when freshly cleaned! I now what you mean, I didn't think mine were dirty until I looked at the before and afters.

I did my black seats at the weekend with a mild cleaner and treatment that came with the leather lounge suite, I wasn't sure what to expect but they came up really well, loads of muck came off and were left much smoother and softer.

I picked up a few surprising and useful tips on this link the other week,
