Leather Redo

I started out repairing a small area on the drivers seat and I ended up creating a two tone interior in my 2004 Z4

My car came standard with an all Oregon Beige interior which I grew bored with. In 2004 another standard available color was Dream Red.
I thought that a two tone interior with Beige and Dream Red would be nice. I think it came out well. And, if I get tired of it, I can always change it. My exterior color is Sapphire Black and the Dream Red and Beige go well with the black.

I got my colorant and other supplies from Furniture Clinic which can supply original BMW colors.

Very distinctive - I think it looks great!

I'm not really a fan of black interiors.

In terms of time it was a big job. In my opinion its a project that most persons could do if they have the time and patience. I estimate it took around 30 hours. I have heard that its very expensive to hire a professional and I understand why. I'm retired so I had the time and I actually enjoyed it as it turned out well. You have to clean all the surfaces that are going to be dyed and make repairs if any are required. It normally takes 2-3 coats to properly cover. You need to let it dry for about 3 days and then add a sealant to protect the new coating.
