Purchased a 2004 Z4, 3.0l a good while back, and usually drive it fairly gently. I had watched some videos on how to "Hot Rod" the car but it was only videos, no descriptions. I also read the owners manual but there again, it didn't have an area that stated, " if you want to burn rubber, here's what to do". Anyway, after watching videos and "googling" about it, I gave it a try. Turned the DSC off, pressed the sport button, mashed the throttle and .....absolutely lit the back tires up....startled the crap out of me. So I did it again and observed that the clutch did not engage till approx 4,000 RPM....dang cool! Then did the second gear shift and more tire squealing . I'm am continuously impressed with the power and performance of this car. I'm sure most of, if not all of you fellow Z4 owners already knew this but, just wanted to share my experience.
has cdv been doctored , remember clutch is not covered with warranty, those plates won't last two minutes
