Coming up to two new tyres and I need one front and one rear (others were replaced a few months ago due to potholes and a nail). 19" wheels. What should be my target fitted price for BMW starred Continental originals?

Just try a few different suppliers online. Prices can vary greatly depending on what deals a particular company has on offer at the time. Also worth contacting your local BMW dealership once you have found your cheapest price and asking if they will price match. Mine does.

If you are looking for Michelin Pilot Sport 4/4S star tires for your BMW, you should aim for a price of around €250 to €350 per tire depending on the model and exact size. Don't forget to factor in mounting and balancing costs.

OK so I had a brain dead moments and the tyres are Continental Sport Contact 6 but the price was excellent. A front and rear fitted and balanced at Kwikfit for £367. I reckon that's a pretty good deal. :)

That is a good deal, will check them out for my tyres which will require renewing very soon.

PS Have you posted any Pics of your Zed. Did have a look at a Potimao Blue M40i for sale on a website but the wife wasnt convinced, plus she wasnt sure about it having white seats. I think she is getting mixed up with the Misano blue which she has seen in real life and didnt like.

My seats are Cognac so no worries with white. Just find a Portimao Blue beemmer in the dealer as other models take it.

[ref]Nanu[/ref], my ivory seats are over 4 years old now and totally unmarked, even with myself always in blue jeans. I wouldn’t worry about it if that's the colour you like.

Strange conversation with my local dealership about new tyres. I wanted Goodyear Asymmetric 6s
and as previously posted was asking if BMW would price match. I was told the 6s were not BMW approved for the G29 but the Asymmetric 3s were. When asked for a price for those, it turned out they could supply the 275 rears non RFs but only RFs for the fronts as they don’t do 255s in non RFs?
Why do they approve a tyre that you can’t get?
Purchased the 6s which are getting fitted when I return from hols next week

Tyre approvals are usually done at the introduction of a new model..then they are rarely updated..as the manufacturer makes better /later tyres he less inclined to keep producing older tyres..

Explains a lot👍
SARSspeaks well of the Asymmetric 6s fitted to hers and that’s good enough for me.

Personally, I will never take a premium car to Kwikfit or the like to have new tyres fitted after experiencing the damage they appear happy to do to expensive alloys. It's better to pay a dealer a bit more to take that extra care.

so would I and that was my plan, however they say the tyres I want are not BMW approved so they won’t fit them.

Hi new to the forum. I. Recently purchased my Z4 and need new tyres as the ones on the rear are budget and have no grip. Would you recommend the Michelin pilot 4s ? I heard the Good Year Eagle are also good ?
Thanks.

I'd trust Kwik Fit ahead of any BMW main dealer I've used. They've managed to damage my cars carrying out routine maintenance and repairs. It is hardly like main dealers employe the highest calibre of staff.

I doubt they actually fit that many tyres as the main dealer prices are far too expensive.

I've had a number of sets of tyres fitted by Kwik Fit and they haven't damaged a wheel yet. I think they know fine well someone with a nice car and nice wheels won't accept damage to their wheels.

I have just changed to Goodyear Asymmetric 6s and more than happy. Don't cost too much either for a Premium tyre
