Lane changing 3 flash indicators

Hi,
I would like to change my standard indicator flash to a three flash lane changing type.
I have heard this is a simple mod without going to the dealers, has anyone any experience with this?

Hope this makes sense!

This has to be coded by the dealer and AFAIK it's only available on face lift models

It's also only possible on post facelift.
Certainly isn't listed on my dealer printout of options (2003)
