Lacquer repair

Just bumped very slowly into wife's car ( handbrake issue - oops). Ended up with what looks like a scrape in a lacquer coat on the bumper. It won't polish out. What' s the best way to repair? I can't see any other damage, just looks like a "skin" has been removed. Trouble is your eye is drawn right to it. Hopefully this is easy to cover up. Any ideas?

If the lacquer has gone then IMO you are looking at a respray. Smart repairs don't fare well over time (at least, the ones I have had done in the past haven't) . If this happened to mine, I would be trying wet sanding first, and then if it still looked bad, a respray.
