Collected my car last night and while out for a spin this evening I noticed a strange metally knocking/tapping noise which happens occasionally when changing gear.
I'm only noticing it changing in to or out of 3rd. Sounds & feels like it's coming from directly underneath the gearstick, towards the front/left.
What's the verdict? Is this a common issue?
EDIT: After doing a bit of reading I'm wondering whether this could be from the drive shaft? Is this likely?
