just a bit of info... I have bought an AK90 programmer from sunny China and some transponder chips and some cheapo cases from china and I managed to make myself a second key this morning.
The key was cut by a local key cutting place for £5 and it started the car fine. I did use a china remote case and its pants! so I am going to get around that in another way. But my purpose of posting was to say if anyone is interested in having any key programming done then I will be happy to help? I would recommend you get a blade cut to your key and get a remote you like from ebay! you can program the remote function yourself and so I would just do the transponder jobbie! I think there was a mint brand new genuine key selling for £22 on ebay.
I know BMKey chappie does this and I am not wanting to take his work from him. I just wanted to be able to sort my own keys out, I know he says he can't do EWS 4 (2005ish I think) but googling suggestions ak90 can do upto ews4.4? I would be happy to give it a go if someone is willing?
Now I am not wanting to do a business here. So I was going to say I would program as many keys as you wanted if you provide the key and the transponders for £20 and I will give £8 of this to east midlands ambulance and £2 going to this forum. I can lock off lost keys and all that. Let me know thoughts. I am in Liverpool for the next 3-4 weeks and in notts at weekends and travelling inbetween so let me know.
If theres no interest then that's fine. I also do have a diagnostic cable and so if you want to have faults read then we can give it a go for free whilst you're here?
